Hi all, I am in the middle of my first quest running, and I'm learning a lot from it, and like to discuss some for I'm very new to There and even questing... I'm glad i found your website I have experienced how important some basics are to let it run, and had to make some mistakes (happy little accidents) before i got it running (sort of) smooth, but i still have some issues I'd like to share and hear what you think or how you do this, so i can learn from you. Basics I learned so far: - make a proper description, don't leave them clueless right there (see mystery clue box is not a good one to 'lure', i shouldn't have left puzzlers in the dark lol) - 1 week is too short - it's great fun! Still puzzled on these: - so many different types of quests... how do i properly describe a type of quest so i will not disappoint questers? (English is not my 1st language, so i have word troubles here) - how to schedule? like now you sort of have to be a expert quester before you know how to enter or play, so i scheduled every day, but that is maybe a bit annoying? (please let me know if so) - other do's & don'ts i should have been (re)searching for before quest making & posting? ~ blutec

hi again Busy with a new quest, this time incl. quest kit, and I am kinda stuck (in my english vocabulary) at the point how to describe this quest, hope you can help me, so I will not dissapoint questers. It is a buggy tour (not a race), on a part of 1 island, pictureclues will guide to points of interest/beauty or 'hidden'places in There. No knowledge necessary, only use of There stuff (+ thalasso's/GoThere). No clues outside client, subject is There. No questions to be answered, just click to picture to lead to next clue. Goal is to have fun in buggy riding, enjoy the great views and details of There, and to understand more about the geography of There. How would such a quest be categorized? grtz, blutec

You did a great job in describing it. It's basically a picture quest. If a special vehicle or compass type program is needed then you can mention those otherwise most questers are use to the variety of quest formats, and pick up fast on any quest. Newer questers have lots of help and tutorial quests to help them learn. So you did fine in description.
As far as scheduling, you can do a few at the start, middle and then a couple of last call to do quest, events. Plus if you let me know ahead of time, I will try hard to list it in Quest Spotters so everyone knows about it.
For a new quester/writer you are doing an excellent job. Keep up the good work, and thanks for doing it.
