A couple of things that went through my mind here...
Would quest writers be insulted if their quest was rated by difficulty level? For example, quests could be called Good for beginers, Intermediate, Difficult, Evil. This could be done via polling those of us that have run the quest and would be a tool for There new questers as well as seasoned ones in deciding which quest to try out.
Josie has some beginners quests out on a permanent basis. Could/Should these be stickied up? Again, for new questers just learning the ropes.
Would it be useful to indicate the end date of each posted quest?

I agree that difficulty levels would be useful, although we should know that difficulty is a relative thing.
I also think that the Beginner Quests should be listed, although perhaps not stickied at the top.
End dates.. hmmm I do not always know my own end date. with 2 week kits, I sometimes pull them down after I see that new attempts fall off to nothing.

I plan on adding Josie's quests that are always out.. just haven't gotten to it yet. Difficulty.. I dunno, like Pixx said, it is kinda a case of opinion. I would actually LOVE to see all of us start replying to the current quest posts and comment on the ones we have done. Easy, hard, fun, got lost, pulled avie hair out, etc. Hehe! I imagine we will start adding more information to the Quest posts. End date IF we know it.. if a prize is involved.. But, see.. thing is... I love to quest also and I don't wanna have to read the first clue to get this info. *ducking* LOL! So far, I have just been going to the locations to get the link and the basic info without opening the clue until I am able to actually do the quest myself. I really, really, really hope that the day comes with a lot of the quest writers will join us here and offer that information up for us. In fact... I think I am gonna do a quest or two now. There are so many... wow. Now I wonder if I have been missing out on a lot just by not actively hunting them down!

There are so many... wow. Now I wonder if I have been missing out on a lot just by not actively hunting them down! This is kind of why I wanted a Quest Spotters. My dream was truely for the quest writers to post their own Info, where it starts, how long is it, perhaps type of kit, prize, and esp a summary of what exactly it is. No one should have to start a quest just to list it. esp as competive as some ppl are with time. but if u see a quest thats on the list it should be flaged like such and such quest starts here (crab rock) and yes by all means add a post for a certain quest and tell us did u get suck on number 8, or it was great. i'm not sure i understand or we've worked everything out.. right duchess its still a work in progress, whether we use stickys or not ? can we? personally i hate sticky threads. but will all quests go in that top thread, even the finished ones, and just progressively move down or up with time. - emma

Hehe Emma.. the idea was for the quests to be sticky so they remain at the top until they are finished. Then the sticky is removed so that they fall down the list. That way no posts are deleted.. creating a kind of archive of past quests and our comments on it. Plus, if a quest is reopened later as a rerun, we can just sticky it again. I had originally thought to have two areas.. Current and Past quests.. but I realized it was a lot easier to click Sticky and UnSticky here on my end than it was to move threads. *ducking* But, if that is what we want.. we can certain do it that way. Hehe.. let's just get the word out to the quest writers and keep our fingers crossed that they join in and help us out for info and see how it goes. Obviously, we will have to do some work here to keep it clean and in some kind of list format so people can find the open quests. But, I hope hope hope hope hope the writers and community joins in to share the info on each so just one or two people don't end up having to do everything for this project.

your absolutely right Duchess, i had that same thought as for sticky vrs not as well. 'tu and the whole basis for this forum, besides helping others of course, was a system that works with as little maintenance as as possible. i just was rolling my eyes thinking of seeing josies beginner quest at the top of the list every week. but i guess soon it will be at the bottom hehe i know, i know, i'm crazy

Could have an intro post to explain the concept and encourage new questers to ask questions. Kasss

Ok... I am trying something else out.. hehe.. Good thing y'all knew this was a work in progress. 'wink
I created a sub-board for the quests that are finished. I then removed the "sticky" from the current quests and bumped the newer ones up above the tours/etc that are out on a constant basis. Now let's get in there and put some replies on those that we know to be out all the time to let newcomers in on that lil secret. Hehe!
